Dover, DE

Def Champion: Kurt Busch

Dover is a fast 1-mile oval like New Hampshire, but that's the only characteristic the two venues share. Dover's high-banked, concrete and extremely fast.

The challenge drivers will face this weekend with the concrete surface is that some people assume that because of the different surface, the track conditions won't change that much. But at Dover, it does.

This high stakes race, held in October at Dover International Speedway, is the second race in the series that yields the biggest prize in auto racing, immediately following the Sylvania 300. Make no mistake, the early races in The Chase are just as important as the later races and no racing team wants to get behind the eight ball this early in the going.

Dover is a physical track, that tests driver’s and their cars. With steep banking and really severe transitions in and out of the corners, but it does give you a lot of passing opportunities. There are multiple grooves there and drivers can find a place to make your car work.

The track is like a vacuum cleaner. If the driver get's loose and starts to spin out, a single-car mishap turns into a five- or six-car pileup, when a car starts to slide down the steep banking turns.

The NASCAR betting action does not get any better than this and putting alittle betting action on the AAA 400 race, puts you right in the driver seat.

2010 Dover AAA 400 Winner

Johnson claimed 2010 “AAA 400” at the Monster Mile, starting from the pole position to win for the sixth time at the one-mile concrete oval. Johnson won the race by 2.637 seconds over Jeff Burton, who advanced from a 27th place starting position to finish runner-up. Johnson is now second to only Richard Petty and Bobby Allison on The Chase!.
