Although the track is new to the NASCAR Sprint Cup series, Phoenix International Speedway is known for its unusual tri-oval shape and has been used by the Indy Racing League. At one mile, Phoenix is a mid-length track in a ā€œDā€ shaped tri-oval. While Phoenix is a relatively flat track, with a mere 11 degree banking, the action is still very intense, and you will see drivers pushing their cars to the limits and getting sideways coming out of turns two and four. This lets you know that every driver means business, and every driver wants to get to that finish line quicker than the rest.
